Beackman's World

 Beackman's World 

An incredible educational tool. 

This show remains one of my favorites, not just because of melancholy, also for the incredible information that they taught us at the age in which we were looking for answers.This is the most interesting educational children's television show i ever seen. It was easy for them to get our attention because they were always solving doubts through experiments, and the way that they gave the information it was pretty creative.

One of the things that i learned and that i will never forget, is to know how many kilometers did a lighting fall, they said that, as light travels faster than sound, you will see first than you'll listen to it, so, as fast as you see the lighting you start counting and when you hear the thunder you stop, the number that you achieved is directly proportional to the number of kilometers that the lighting is far away. So every time i see a lighting i cant avoid the need to count to know the distance :).

This fact is for us, educational psychology students, very valuable because we are studying that meaningful learning is our goal, this is the only way that a knowledge will be useful in the future for our students. Actually, Sofia and i used some of beackaman's videos as tool for one of our class practices. The topic was Reflection and Refraction of light, we were so worried about how could we explain it to the kids, how could we give them this complicated information for them to understand it. So we decided to use beackman's world, we gave an introduction, made some reflective questions to make them construct a first step definition and then we saw the video, the result was amazing, we even didnt have the need to explain deeply the definitions, we only asked them to realize if they understand, and then we tell them why the information was necessary and useful for. Then we made some experiments and it was all done! They completly understand and actually they were having fun!! 

In summary, Beackman's world was an incredible educational show, that truly let something on children.

I wonder why dont we have more tv shows as good as this was?...

Dance.. a lifestyle

When i feel bad and have much stress in my days, is comforting for me start to dance. The excercise and dicipline that this impplie, are the special mix for make me feel better.

When i was a little kid, mi mom always took us to extracurricular classes because those developed us in different areas. I´m a hyperactive person, and when i was little i don´t understood, but now i know that the excercise form me is the best therapy. I don´t need medicins 'cause the physic activity is my medicin for body and my soul.

It's hard sometimes but the final view is awesome !! Are more the good things that we can take of this art, almost are benefits for us and it's a greate education for people, because, in my case, i'm a very diciplinade person, and my teachers will teach me to work with my own virtues for my personal development.

I start to study ballet at 4 years old and when i was 7 years decline for economy causes and i start dance in my school and at home and every place, but no in accademy dance. I re-start to go to the academy at 16 years and work with all my enthusiasm for be better than myself. Now i have 20 years old and i'm dancer to  jazz, ballet, hip-hop, flamenco and contemporany dance.

I never thought this art  was my lifestyle, today is one of my favorite parts of myself :)

The moon 

Maybe it is weird that a 19- year-old guy writes this, but the moon is that companion that even though it doesn’t seem like it, it helps me a lot and it gives me inspiration and it helps me open my mind and get to know things about myself that I didn’t know before, how to take a look at it in moments of high stress and it helps me find serenity, I forget about my problems and my routine and I can submerge in a sea of calmness, in which only my thought exist and my questions that normally are: what am I doing? Am I happy with this life? What can I do to be better? I can last hours observing that white sphere that sticks with me through every dark night: my good friend.

She helps me forget, but she also brings me memories that maybe bring sadness to me, because they were really happy moments that I would like to have a time machine and go back to that moment in which my life was so different, with its bad moments but also with a lot of happiness. I don’t mean that things have changed giving a bad turn, but it just means that my happiness was different. I love to observe it, as well as she observes me and is witness to everything that happens in the dark. I know that she will be with me through anything till the end of my days and that is why I speak to her, even though she doesn’t listen to what I do, because she is my inspiration and tranquility.

I really enjoy writing because it’s my way to express what I am feeling in determined moment or what I am doing and this way I can “immortalize” it, because your mind forgets it a lot of the time but when you write your thought they stay written forever. I recommend you to write often, whatever, whenever, just let your mind lose, even if your ideas seem silly. I look forward to reading your comments, thank you so much.

The Stanford University Experiment

Stanford University Experiment

This experiment also known as Lucifer effect was a psychological study that went through in Stanford University in 1971 in which the plan was to create a prison like ambiance and the conducts that man develops being under these circumstances like the marine corps of the United States. The people that were part of it were chosen with an ad posted up for a job offering a salary of $15 per day for participating in an experiment. Out of 70 persons that applied to the ad, only 24 were chosen, the ones with the best conditions in physical and psychological health. They were all college students.

The group was divided into guards and prisoners, and a rumor started that the students assigned to guards were chosen because they had more physical strength, although they were really chosen by flipping a coin so that there would be no preference.

The prison was built up in the basement of The College of Psychology in the same university. The guards were given military uniforms and shades so they wouldn’t cross eyes with the prisoners, which were just given robes without any underwear and flip-flops and a stocking over their heads in order to create an aspect of inferiority between them and the guards, and the prisoners were called by numbers instead of their names and they also had a chain on their ankles as a reminder of their imprisonment.

One day before starting the experiment, the guards had a meeting in which they were explained all the rules and procedures they had to follow, which were al focused in humiliating the prisoners as well as intimidating them in a way of letting them know that the guards were the ones that were in control of their lives. The prisoners were only told to wait for a visit in their houses. Without any notice, they were arrested by real cops that cooperated in the experiment and they were transferred to the fake prison and this way the first real part of the experiment was done.

The experiment came out of control really fast because the prisoners were so trapped in their character that they accepted the sadistic mistreatment they were given by the guards who didn’t even follow instructions and little by little the prisoners started suffering big emotional traumas only by the second day of the experiment. As the time went by the participants of the experiment forgot that it was only a research experiment and this caused a big problem; the guards separated the good prisoners and bad prisoners making them do denigrating chores like cleaning the bathrooms with bare hands as well as homosexual acts particularly at night when the guards thought the cameras were off.

Two of the prisoners had to leave the experiment because they started showing too big psychological traumas. After 6 days, the experiment had to be canceled because it was getting out of control. It lasted only two days of the scheduled 2 weeks.

This experiment was kind of an impact on me and this is why I decided to share it with you. Hope you liked it. Thanks.

A LEGEND OF HEAVY METAL: CLIFF BURTON

It has been 25 years since one of the best bass players ever left us in a tragic way, the great bass player from Metallica: Cliff Burton. Considered by a lot of people, me included, Cliff was one of the best musicians in heavy metal and trash metal.

What pushed this man was his love for music and his brother’s Scott memory, which died when he was only 13 years old. Cliff was a pianist but when Scott passed away he decided to turn to a bass player in honor of honor of his brother. He wanted to be the best bass player in the world, and he got it. He nearly missed the cut into the band, but if it was not for the idea of going to San Francisco, he would have never been able to play with Metallica. From 1983 to 1986, Cliff became the life of the band and that is why Metallica owes him so much, in fact a lot of what the singer (James) knows about writing and rhythms knows, he knows because of Cliff. They were like brothers. He was the most affected by Cliff’s death, and he became an alcoholic and ended up needing psychological help.

Cliff died at the age of 24, on September 17^th in 1986. The bus, on which he was going back to his hotel while on a tour in Sweden, flipped over. The band’s guitarist (Kirk) tell about how that night he had made a bet on a card game with Cliff that whoever lost would sleep on the back of the bus, and Cliff won with pocket aces. Approximately at 6 a.m. Kirk was awoken by a tire screeching followed by some shaking; it were the back tires drifting in the highway and moments after, the bus flipped over. Everybody was out of the bus shocked by the accident without even knowing Cliff’s body was lying lifeless under the bus.

As it was expected, Cliff marked a lot of this band’s fans and he was a great role model to a lot of today’s musicians.

I hope this little post about this musician was entertaining to you. This great musician showed everybody that no matter our age, if we set a goal we can be the best in whatever we want, if we truly do it with all our heart and our passion. In my opinion, I love music and I spent a lot of time on it because someday I would like to become a great musician and that’s why I chose to write about this person who dedicated his life to music and that being so young he accomplished being world-wide known. comfortable vs fashion

If you are a boy or a girl I think there is a big problem with this 2 terms.

I think we all like to be with flip flops, crocks, tenni shoes or socks all day long but the problem is if you got to a wedding or a graduation for example you are not going to wear the previous things I mentiones right ?

The problem is, when you are at work, at a wedding, at a photoshoot, they give you or you but this awesome shoes a little bit expensive and you know you are going to wear just like 3 times in your life, but they are really uncomfortable.

The problem with the shoes is that they actually define your style and also they help you be less tired. If you pick some pretty and uncomfortable shoes you are probably going to be angry all time, desperated because you want to take them off or wanting to sit down because you are tired.And this is correct, bad shoes affect your back making you look like a hunchback so nect time you choose try to pick a pair that is perfect for you , walk a few steps and realize of those are the chosen ones.

Friends like you

I have a extraordinary friend that listen to me when i don´t say important things... that person are a special friend because i know that she was there for me always and make me feel good when i feel the worst person in the planet...

God bless me with this friend and i have eternally gratefull for this.

Naga jolokia

Well that is nothing compared to Naga Jolokia. This is the hottest pepper in the whole world !

Peppers are measured with Scoville ( which measures the heat) and this pepper measures over one million when normal peppers are like 2500 so can you imagine having a soup with this pepper?

As you can see this pepper is not even big but it is really powerful, it is actually not recomended to eat it. Its form a small region in India and they sell sauces and food whit this pepper but is just a minimal amount and the rest of water or deenping on the sauce but it is always convined.

You will feel a burning sensation in your mouth after trying this and remember drinking water won´t help you you need to something really salty or with onion so this can absorb the pepper flavor.

Video Games

They say video games are bad for children. Parents teach us that they are bad because it contain a lot of violence and it is a waste of time and actually it is but lets be honest, depending in the game you are buying to your kid or your little brother or sister will depend in how much it will help him.

For example there are puzzle games were there is the character but in the middle of the world to get to the monster you need to do order 5 numbers for example . So as everything in this life I think we should not generalize that ALL games are bad for vhildren and all game are violent for them as well.

Actually now a days they are chamging the games. Now they are interactive movies. Those are games that start with a story, you play a little and then there is more story, and most of the video game is going to be like that because since kids dont read how do you deal with that ? If they want video games lets give them books in video games. Books and stories and historyis trying to adapt to the future. This is not only for kids is also for adolecents and why not for old people as well.

Some ordinary days, make it for enjoyed...

Is incredible for me and I don´t explain me yet how God can be so extraordinary and create all the beautiful things that I have in my life; my friends, my family, the air in my  face. The secret of happiness is adventure of enjoy every moment of day...every landscape every times that I fall. The people don´t understand my happiness and I think that is something simple: my happiness is translate in love to the life; to every day that pass in life. I thank God to live and breathe; the joy of observing and thinking; feel the fresh in the wind; and the floor where I am now sitting writing and the people with whom I live every day.

It is simple and wonderfull power of love ... Love is not the need of another company or caress Love is the simple act of embracing life and not let go, is the simplicity of learning to enjoy. Why is it so hard to be happy today? What greater incentive than life itself? What he needs to man? Still do not understand the stupidity of people to complain and be unhappy with the time, teachers, friends, and life itself.

Probably yes, I'm the weirdest person between strangers and the person I am too, but those who do not understand me, that is why they can´t be happy. Why not enjoy the pain? Actually, and believe it or not, is not mazoquizm it is only live ... arrive on our bodies and our senses are ashes memories of time past that day can´t turn back and then we will live happy moments and those happened; of learning acquired and the different ways ... then we will know true peace and regret not having practiced before.

Probably the environment in which we live has much to do with how see life, however, we must always be philosophers in search of eternal happiness, why let us impose ideologies and the idea of joy? Own decision is being happy and apparently, I was born with the decision taken.

So overwhelmed me, I worry, and cry at times, but every attitude, every feeling and emotion try to convert them to happiness.

ok i'm going to talk about sleep and is this sensation that you feel when you are tired like if you are doing the post in the blog at this hour i think that you want to sleep but you have to do the post, when you feel tired you want to sleep because when you sleep you forget that you was  tired  thats why we like to sleep when you sleed i think that you dont do anything just sleep and make some sounds and move in your bed, some guys  move alot in their beds when they are sleeping and they wake up in the floor.

some guy dont sleep cuz they cant sleep i dont know why, but we know that some people have insomnia and insomnia is when you cant sleep because you feel like dont be tired.
so we know that everyone like to sleep because we need to sleep, is like food if you dont eat nothing you are going to die so sleep and you are going to feel good, so im tired i need to sleep

Elections year

The campaign process has formally started and we are going to be bombarded with all kinds of publicity about it. It is necessary to make a good analysis to choose the candidate that best adhere to our ideology.

This time is crucial for our country, as we will have the choice to continue what was started 12 years ago,

back to the oldest political party or try something new, obviously with the huge risk that will represent.

The most important thing is not to get carried away by false advertising and not sell our vote or be driven by what others think about it, everyone has the decision and responsibility to choose the best candidate of their choice.

 

Facebook Has Consequences

ok this is a little thin about my debate.

In the early 1960s the internet was made public, and became a very important resource to everyday basis. There are over 1 million websites on the internet including educational, informational, blogging, photo sharing, personal, and many other websites.  It is a tool that is very accessible to the people, of the world. There are a lot of websites, but one of the most visited website since 2009 is the social network Facebook. Facebook has over 800 million active users. When people heard of these numbers all they could think of was “Let’s visit Facebook, let’s be part of it”. The Facebook website might sound safe because people all over the world have an active account, but I do not believe the social network Facebook is a secure website. My Main reasons why Facebook should xsw2be qualified as a horrendous website are; it is an addictive site, there is no privacy, it can have and atrocious impact on careers and personal lives, it causes health concerns, and there is no way to eliminate a Facebook account.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, a former Harvard student. Initially, the membership of Facebook was restricted to students of Harvard College. It was subsequently expanded to other colleges. Networks were then initiated for high schools on February 27, 2006 and some large companies. Since September 11, 2006, anyone who is thirteen or older may join. Reading this information could make people want to have a Facebook account, not thinking that Facebook is not a private website. By having an active account, as a Facebook member, a person will not find sufficient privacy. Facebook requires its members to submit some information about themselves, but sharing too much information on social network sites can be harmful in numerous ways. People think that all it takes to have a private and secure Facebook is to click on the option “private account”. This safety option does not stop hackers or people that might want to harm other human beings from their purposes. All it takes to see a private profile is typing the right URL code and the information will pop out. Once information was given to the site there is no way back. Besides setting yourself in a danger zone with your personal information, there is also a risk of a psychological damage.

We have heard about alcohol and smoking addiction, but I think many people do not know about Facebook addiction. The cause for these websites to be created was that many people became addicted to the features offered on the site. There are websites that help people rehabilitate from their addiction to Facebook. It is really easy to start having too much of the social network, people get hooked on applications and games like Farmville, Mafia Wars, etc. There are even people that are dependent to post status updates, they get the satisfaction to know that people know what they are doing. Updating a status has become so important in today’s society, even to the point that there was a man that updated his status while getting married. This obsession is a major distraction to our world. Many schools report that the average grade of students has gone down and the main cause is social networking sites. Even to the point that people end up losing their job for being caught socializing during working hours, when instead they should have been working. Sometimes it is hard to be rehabilitated from Facebook because it is hard to delete a Facebook account.

Trying to delete a Facebook account it is not as easy as creating one. It may take you a while to figure out how to delete the account and after all the search trying to figure out a way to delete a Facebook account you will find a surprise. Finally being able to click your account away a message comes through telling you it is just a deactivation you are preforming. A Facebook account could never be deleted; it can be deactivated and activated whenever you want. One can get their account and all the information back anytime if they decided to join Facebook again. Many want to get rid of unwanted information that was put in their Facebook, like photos, comments, statues. Mind as well keep wishing since all will be there for the rest of Facebook’s existence. It does not end here since there are other things people wish to get rid of.

Not just deleting that unwanted information but also get rid of all the virus attacks is a major concern of the users. Hackers always find a way around so they can try to spread unwanted pop ups and viruses via the website. Hackers do not need to research that much to find one of the  most visited website, everyone knows its Facebook. Since news spreads very fast on Facebook, a click on an unknown link is all that is needed to spread the virus to your friend, their friends and so on. Even get to the point when a computer hard drive becomes damaged or slows down because of a Facebook virus was transmitted into the computer. It is always good to be careful before clicking links and following them. We also must be careful with the damage being made to us besides the one to our computer.

Facebook has had a stellar impact on social networking and has changed the way people socialize with one another. Awareness should be raised to not let Facebook take over your life; there are real games, real gifts and real people out there. Interact with them in real life and use Facebook as a tool to keep in touch with other people. It is a must to not let Facebook replace the real life experiences like talking to a friend face to face, and not though a computer screen. Internet and social networking are or were supposed to enhance our life’s, not take them away

• ok let's start with the BAD things about the weed but first we know when we talk about weed we are talking about marijuana ok, one of the bad things about weed is that its illegal because some people thinks that weed kills you slowly, some people say that if you smoke weed  is bad for you (although marijuana can be vaporized or eaten, eliminating all carcinogenic intake by the body, and furthermore, studies have shown no increased incidence of cancer among pot smokers).

• another bad thing of the weed,if you have weed  can be caught and have to go to jail or an expensive treatment program. many jobs are contingent upon passing a drug test and if you have some drugs in your blood you dont going to have or get the job. 
• well i think those was some bad thing about weed so im going to tell some good things about weed, so weed is like a medicine? well we dont know it but, can ease nausea from chemotherapy more effectively than swallowed pills, some people say that  the weed preven the cancer but we dont know if is that true.
