Dorian Gray


I love this movie, its one of my favorites besides the book of Oscar Wilde. I prefer the movie than the book but its just me. If you haven’t read the book or watch the movie here it’s a little peek. The Story its about a young who sold his soul to the devil because he wants to stay forever young. Dorian went to England after the death of his father. He met Lord Henry.

Lord Henry its a man who spend time searching for the pleasures of life. He becomes his teacher making Dorian a big monster. Dorian Follow all the things that Lord Henry says and after a time Dorian Becomes into the man that Lord Henry wants to be but he never could. Before meeting Lord Henry. Dorian Met a paintor named Basil who paint The picture of Dorian. Dorian was mad because the paint never would grow old so he makes a deal with the devil and sold he soul so the paint start to grow old. The paint becomes his soul. Dorian makes a lot of things and there is not effect in Dorian. That’s it’s the movie

Why I love this movie?

Beside that the plot its so good, the actors are amazing Ben Barnes makes a wonderful interpretation also Collin Firth. The cinematography its amazing because it reminds me Tim Burton Style. Like a said before I also read the book at the beginning was so hard to read because the books its so descriptive but it’s a great book .

Dorian Gray is a story about how society can affect a person. How can easily make an influence to do bad things without feeling regret

    This is a great movie, is very similar to the life of a musician exept for the youth!

    but nothing is forever and even beauty bored!

    i read the book to, when i was like eleven years. i love it. i love the way of oscar wilde to descrive the garden the house in the first chapter and all the places where the scene take place. being honest in the book it is short part that talks about the life of vices of dorian gray, and it refers more to spend money and humillate people. in the movie it give and other point of view of this vices. i cant remeber the end of the movie, but i remember that i left the movie theater really disappointed, buecause all the images that i had in my mind that was really beatiful, changed really much. but is nice to have other interpretation of that magnific book. now when i look at my bookseller and i see the book, 2 images of the end of dorian gray come in my mind, the one of the movie and the one of the product of my imagination.

      you're right the book makes you imagine a lot of beautiful things and Dorian has blonde hair :) hahah
