It is easier to feel and play music but to explain or define it not. We all understand what music is?
But how many can put into words what are the essential characteristics or what makes sense?
Is the art in which it's providing the sounds and silences of a certain organization? The result of this order is logical, coherent and pleasing to the ear.

Functions of music:
-Musical expression: Allow the individual a way out, evoke nostalgia tranquility
- The role of aesthetic pleasure: Involves aesthetics from the viewpoint of the creator and the listener. There is no certainty that this feature is present in all culture
-entertainment: usually occurs in all societies may or may not combine with other functions
-communication: consists in the codes of the culture to which it belongs. The lyrics transmit information to those who understand the language in which they are discharged.
- Symbolic representation: ideas and behaviors
-physical response: relaxes and inspires physical response of the dance.
- Integration of society: as a meeting point around which the members of society come together to participate in activities that require cooperation and coordination of the group.

From my point of view the music was the best invent that the human can ever think, there's a lot of styles and sounds which i love, and it's a really way to express how we feel, specially when we heard a song and we identify with it.

ReplyDeleteYou are so right, I love music, I think that I couldn't survive a day without it, I love every type of music, it depends in how I feel, where I am and with who I am.
ReplyDeleteI also looooove how a single song can bring so many memories to you, for example when we went to Mazatlan to the Interlobos, me and my friends listened so many times to the song "We found love" of Rihanna, and now, everytime I hear this song I remember every single memory of Mazatlan and I love that :D

wow! music, for my is magic! how you can let your feelings shown even without a singing voice! for example: hard rock were you can feel how angry is this person!
ReplyDeletei love all the music, even corridos and cumbias because they show a reality and a way of life of today. but my favorite music undoubtedly is opera! that voices, that feeling, the music, the performance of the singers! i dont know really much about the genero, but it is magic for my ears.
